How Flat Pricing Works

Pricing is per computer. If two computers are being worked on, each is treated as a separate service.

Parts, replacement storage devices, and other materials are not part of flat labor cost.

We will explain the applicable tier before proceeding. Unusual services, including advanced data recovery, are quoted separately.
SHOP LABOR
SHOP FLAT DIAGNOSTIC/NON-REPAIR: $75
A flat diagnostic fee is applied when no repair is completed, covering evaluation and basic troubleshooting services:

A repair is not possible due to age, damage, or part availability.

The customer declines repair based on cost.

Applies only to non-gaming, non-custom systems.

At the sole discretion of 208GEEK, this may be all we charge for simple and easy repairs.

If we complete the repair on that same computer, there is no separate diagnostic fee—the appropriate flat repair rate applies.
STANDARD SHOP FLAT RATE: $150
Our most common repair service for everyday computer problems, helping restore performance, resolve issues, and keep your technology running smoothly. For routine repairs on standard laptops and desktops.

Software Troubleshooting – Resolve common Windows problems and software issues.

Computer Tune-Ups & Malware Cleanup – Improve performance, clean up software issues, and remove unwanted software.

Routine Hardware Replacement – Replace standard computer components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, and fans.

Standard Repairs & Diagnostics – Diagnose and repair issues that require routine testing and standard diagnostic time.

ADVANCED/ GAMING COMPUTER SHOP FLAT RATE: $200
The usual starting tier for gaming computers and custom-built PCs, as well as more involved repairs.

Graphics Card & Power Supply Issues – Diagnose and repair graphics card and power supply problems.

Multi-Component Repairs – Repair computers requiring multiple component replacements or extended testing.

Large Data Transfers – Safely transfer larger amounts of data between computers, drives, or storage devices.

REBUILD/EXTENSIVE SHOP FLAT RATE: $250
For major work that requires rebuilding a significant portion of the computer, or for building a computer using customer-provided parts.

Full Disassembly & Reassembly – Completely disassemble and rebuild a computer for major repairs or upgrades.

Motherboard & CPU Replacement – Replace and configure major core components.

Case Swaps & Major Rebuilds – Transfer components into a new case or perform extensive system rebuilds.

Substantial Multi-Component Replacement – Replace multiple major components requiring extensive labor and testing.
